Fascia and soffit replacement details
For access to the roofline on this house, we used our Easi-Dec portable access equipment which we are able to put up and down on the day. This does away with the need for traditional scaffolding.
All the old fascia, soffits and guttering was removed, the exposed end rafters were then checked for any signs of decay and water damage and treated where required.
The verges on the porch needed re-building due to crumbling mortar. The old mortar was cleared out and new undercloak was fitted. The roof tiles were then rebedded and then repointed. New bargeboards were installed along with rosewod shiplap cladding to the apex.
Rosewood fascias and soffits with brown square guttering was then installed along with over fascia ventilation strips, eaves protection boards, bird guards and gutter guard.
Once the installation was completed, a final clean of the work area was done and all old roofline materials was removed for disposal.
As with all our installations where required, we installed over fascia ventilation strips, eaves protection boards, bird guards and gutter guard.
